Once Upon a Time offers infant care starting at age 6 weeks. We offer two infant classrooms as well as a one teacher to three children staff ratio. This is a better ratio than what the state of Connecticut mandates. We offer a primary caregiver system where every child is assigned to a specific caregiver in order to promote bonding and a sense of security.

Every infant is on their own feeding and sleeping schedules to allow for each child’s individual needs to be met. The curriculum that is followed in the infant programs is based on a child’s individual path of development. We concentrate on the order of development, not a child’s chronological age. We note the successes each child has had, and that tells us what goals will be met next, and we help each child meet these next goals. The infants flourish in this positive environment where each child can succeed and reach their own individual goals.
