Toddler Childcare Program

The toddler childcare programs at Once Upon A Time are arranged in such a way as to promote individual successes in a non-competitive environment. Classroom size is small as well as group sizes. Our goal is always to keep each child in the environment that best suits their development. Our toddler classrooms include:

• Pre-Toddlers (mobile infants through 18 months)

• Toddlers I (18-24 months)

• Toddlers II (24-30 months)

• Twos (30-36 months)

By separating toddlers into these age groups, we are able to create an environment that is best suited to the developmental and social awareness of your toddler.

Toddler Curriculum

We have themes of the week, with all the activities corresponding to the theme as best as possible. There is a concentration on a child’s socio-emotional development, following directions, and participating in the activities that are offered. We will work with toddlers on recognizing and naming body parts, colors and shapes. Music, art, science, fine and gross motor development are all encompassed in our curriculum. We believe that each child is an individual with their own strengths and weaknesses, and we embrace these differences to help each child to reach their own individual goals and be successful.
